Overview

NaphCare is currently seeking an Behavioral Health Technicians to join our team at the Arizona Department of Corrections - Yuma facility located in San Luis, AZ!   Full Time, Part Time, and PRN shifts are available!  Pay rates range from $22.00 to $30.00 per hour based on certification and experience

PRN shifts and hours vary based on coverage needs for FT shifts and will be determined by site leadership and prn employee availability.  Pay rates vary based on shift, site needs, and experience.  Shifts and hours vary based on coverage needs and can be discussed with upon interview.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for Behavioral Health Technicians:

 

  • Participates in weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings and implements interventions for patients in a correctional mental health/healthcare setting.
  • Supervising patients and providing formal education in routine activities of daily living (hygiene, eating, recreation, etc.),
  • Provide care and activities programming as well as social rehabilitation and leisure activities,
  • Assists in the preparation and maintenance of records pertaining to patient mental health, and scheduling, setting up, operating and supervising telepsychiatry appointments.

Qualifications

Qualifications for Behavioral Health Technicians:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work/Sciences, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field
  • Level 1 Psychiatric Technician Certification from the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians preferred, not required
  • Two years or more experience providing activities programming for patients who have a serious mental illness required
  • Competencies with Excel sufficient to create, maintain, and update scheduling databases
  • Must show current tuberculosis documentation
  • Active CPR certification
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
