Responsibilities

Responsibilities for Corporate RN Educator:

 

  • Manage NaphCare University by creating and managing content.
  • Proactively takes action to solve problems and use objectivity and insightfulness when approaching problems and meet established goals.
  • Assists learners in the assessment of needs and identification of outcomes.
  • Incorporates principles of adult learning in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of education programs.
  • Curricula and content development
  • Learning Management System (LMS) administration - evaluating and revising educational programs and individual classes Previous Experience of a Learning management system and technical understanding of eLearning technologies and environments in which content is accessed a plus
  • The capability to work autonomously while supporting a range of clients.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • A proficiency with spreadsheets and an aptitude to streamlining and communicating data analytics.
  • Develops and coordinates education plans related to initial and ongoing competency.
  • Develops and coordinates core education to address patient population specific nurse care.
  • Plans, prepares, and maintains materials for use in educational programs for accuracy and relevance to target audience.
  • Identifies and evaluates instructional materials in all types of media and format.
  • Adjusts content and teaching strategies appropriate for learner needs.
  • Provides educational opportunities that benefit nurses at all stages of their career development.
  • Delivers competency based programs for nursing staff with a focus upon improvement of skills and retention of knowledge.
  • Develops evidence based education materials.
  • Supports staff development with educational activities to include NCCHC and ACA standards.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of educational programming.
  • Prepares short and long-term planning and programs to address identified needs.
  • Travels to sites as needed to teach content as needed and/or assigned with clinical expertise to facilitate transitions, orientation, staff development and/or safe practice.
  • Performs other related functions and duties as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications for Corporate RN Educator:

 

  • Current, unrestricted RN license in state of employment, as well as valid CPR card.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in healthcare setting.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines is critical.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and decision-making skills essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
