Responsibilities for Physical Therapist:

• Work cohesively with the HSA, DON and RN(s) in the coordination of the physical therapy delivery system, as well as other functions within the facility
• Use all functions and applications of TechCareTM relevant to the position with no supervision, and assist with staff training as requested
• Communicate effectively with clients, peers, and employees at all levels within the organization. Maintain clear lines of communication throughout issue-resolution processes
• Demonstrate personal performance based on professional practice standards, relevant statutes, rules and regulations and organizational criteria
• Provide physical therapy treatments and procedures
• Development of treatment plans
• Document progress of all treatment rendered
• Prepare all treatment areas and equipment for use
• Perform postural drainage, percussions and vibrations, and teach deep breathing exercises to treat respiratory conditions
• Instruct, motivate, safeguard and assist patients as they practice exercises and functional activities
• Confer with healthcare staff and others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment
• Administer active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, massage, and heat, light, sound, water, and modality treatments, as required
• Observe patients during treatments to compile and evaluate data on patients’ responses and progress, and report
• Measure patients’ range of motion, body parts, and vital signs to determine the effects of treatment or for patient evaluations
• Secure patients into or onto therapy equipment
• Fit and train patients for orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices, such as crutches
• Assist with transport of patients to and from the treatment area
• Clean and check work area and equipment after each treatment
• Assist patients with hygiene and daily living activities as needed

Qualifications for Physical Therapist:

• Must hold and maintain a current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in WY
• A valid CPR card
