Overview

NaphCare is hiring an experienced Part-Time Pharmacist just like you to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters located in Birmingham, AL.

 

The Part Time Clinical Pharmacist provides quality patient care by evaluating correctional patients’ medication needs, reviewing medication histories, monitoring drug therapy and consulting with other healthcare providers on appropriate therapies to optimize treatment outcomes.  The Part Time Clinical Pharmacist provides clinical review and appropriate multi-disciplinary communication relative to the review of patient information.  The individual in this position is also responsible for reviewing and documenting the accuracy of prescription medications that have been re-packaged in the pharmacy.  The-Time Clinical Pharmacist is accountable for executing quality assurance checks of prescriptions filled by technicians or other pharmacists to ensure and document that prescriptions are filled correctly

 

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for Pharmacist:

 

  • Completes the workflow for filling prescriptions for corrections patients, employees, and public health client patients.
  • Performs quality assurance check on new or refill orders to ensure accuracy.
  • Performs quality assurance check on prepackaged medications to ensure quality and correctness.
  • Completes clinical review of all drug orders and patient charts per pharmacy policies and standards
  • Communicates with providers to ensure clarity, accuracy and documentation of new or questionable orders.
  • Completes work activities to meet or exceed customer expectations in a timely manner. 
  • Ensure that all pharmaceutical services provided within the facility conform to state licensure, accreditation, regulatory agency requirements, company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Qualifications for Pharmacist:

  • Be a graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy
  • Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy, or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D)
  • Must be licensed in the Alabama
  • Must be licensed, or willing to become licensed, in other states as required by client contracts.
  • Must have working knowledge of concepts of pharmacy computer systems
