Overview

NaphCare is hiring an experienced Palo Alto Network Engineer just like you to join our team on-site at the Corporate Headquarters located in Birmingham, AL.

 

The Network Engineer is a senior level position expected to provide top tier of support related to the design, installation, management, and maintenance of our nationwide network of sites and users. Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer is PREFERRED.

 

This is an on-site position in Birmingham, AL 35216

Responsibilities

  • Senior level position expected to provide top tier of support related to the design, installation, management, and maintenance of our nationwide network of sites and users
  • Implementation, Management and troubleshooting of Cisco and Aruba networks
  • Implementation, Management and troubleshooting of Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) - PREFERRED
  • Keeping network documentation updated and current
  • Communicate with end-users in order to provide top tier support for network issues

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of network architecture experience is required for this senior level position; 12-15 years of relevant experience is ideal
  • Bachelor’s Degree and previous IT consulting experience highly preferred
  • Solarwinds, Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco Switches, Aruba AP, Wireshark knowledge.
  • Avaya IP Office experience a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Visio, Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and ability to communicate with all levels of cross-functional teams
  • Ability to logically troubleshoot in order to create innovative and practical solutions for problems as they arise
  • Ability to manage individual tasks and move projects towards known goals with minimal supervision in a team-based, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to travel, as needed, to support networks across the country.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation with other team members
