Overview

NaphCare has an excellent opportunity for a Billing and Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham AL.

 

The candidate will be in charge of overseeing our clients' financial operations and claims billing. From the filing of claims until the final payment, you will make sure that every part of the revenue cycle operates smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit claims to various insurance companies electronically
  • Accurately and promptly reconcile all posting transactions, including payments, adjustments, and denials for insurers.
  • Resolve clearinghouse errors and work through rejections.
  • Review and address clearinghouse and payer denials.
  • Ensure the accuracy of account adjustments.
  • Complete daily payment posting, reconciliation, and account closing tasks.
  • Regularly review payment and adjustment postings for accuracy.
  • Manage remittance and credits.
  • Maintain clearing accounts to ensure accurate financial tracking.
  • Investigate and resolve credit balances and undistributed payments.
  • Resolve insurance credits following payer guidelines.
  • Answers questions from clients and insurance companies
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
  • Troubleshoots electronic health record problems as they relate to billing.
  • Assist with additional tasks and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of healthcare billing experience required (Medicaid preferred) to include identifying and correcting for errors, posting of payments, communicating with payers, providers, and medical staff.
  • Must have healthcare experience and knowledge of billing and coding, including EOBs, ICD-10, and CPT codes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities.
  • Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Proficient with medical billing software.
