Responsibilities

Responsibilities for Radiology Technologist:

 

  • 30 hours/ week availability
  • Pull, file, and scan all radiological records
  • Schedule, perform, and document all radiological testing, including annual tuberculosis testing and emergency procedures
  • Maintain inventory, stock, re-order, and replace radiology supplies
  • Ensure that all equipment related to radiology services is properly maintained and functioning
  • Ensure all state regulations are in compliance as it relates to Radiation Control Perform other duties as assigned
  • X-ray callouts and X-ray for urgent patients that are not on call out
  • Update exams in BEMR as Pending Results, and update BEMR that reports were received
  • Scan reports into BEMR
  • Submit images to the radiologist and pull reports in StatRad.com
  • Enter patient information within CR per each exam
  • Pull CT/MRI/old films for town trips
  • Burn CD’s of x-ray studies for town trips
  • File x-ray films sent in from other institutions
  • File CD’s returned with patients coming back from town trips
  • Mail out films to other institutions as inmate transfer
  • Pull consults for the following day and put call outs on for the following day
  • Review consults to make sure they are not duplicates
  • Print daily logs of exams completed
  • Program review of x-ray lead
  • Pull IOP reports for radiology each quarter 
  • Pull daily radiologic request logs
  • Record kVp and mAs on each study done every day
  • Refusal forms for inmates who no longer want their exams
  • Help with Health Services Perpetual Audit, ACA audits, Program Review, etc.
  • Go to the camp and/or low institution for emergency x-rays as needed
  • Swap out dosimetry badges quarterly
  • Mail out dosimetry badges
  • Go onto Landaur.com to print dosimetry reports and log them in a folder

Qualifications

Qualifications for Radiology Technologist:

 

  • Availability to commute on-site to the Forrest City, AR office
