Overview

NaphCare is hiring a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team at our Corporate Headquarters Office located in Birmingham, AL 35216. 

 

*This is an on-site position.

Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of general ledger accounts as presented on financial statements and preforming monthly audits of reconciliations. Additional responsibilities may include and not be limited to:

 

  • Gather and audit monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts as prepared by others
  • Prepare reconciliations as needed
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Examine accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards defined within the department
  • Develop, implement, and maintain proper keeping of financial records and making use of current technologies
  • Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information
  • Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • 3-4 years of accounting experience required
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Completed and cleared drug screening required 
  • Must have excellent written and verbal skills, have the ability to problem solve, and work and perform independently with minimal supervision
  • Must possess strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements
