Overview

NaphCare has an excellent opportunity for a Remote STATCare RN (Registered Nurse) to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters office located in Birmingham, AL.

 

*This is a remote position.

Responsibilities

 

  • Review TechCare BI Detox Dashboard(s) to identify high-risk patients, with oversight of STATCare providers and/or director, and coordinate plan with STATCare provider for orders, treatments, etc.
  • Facilitate/assist in removal of appropriate patients from detox dashboard
  • Prepare reports or summaries for leadership/healthcare management teams to evaluate trends/volume
  • Assist in audits or reviews of discharge medication procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Audit site provider appointment types and edit if needed for appropriateness (duplicates, etc)
  • Assist with modification of provider templates in EHR as needed
  • Monitor and manage multiple discharge med email boxes, complete administrative tasks (update patient’s DOB, phone number, confirm demographics, etc) and coordinate with pharmacies regarding discharge medications
  • Coordinate care and collaborate with site discharge planners/counselors and relevant internal departments (nursing/custody/transportation) to determine medication needs of patients post release
  • Act as a liaison between correctional health services, pharmacies, and community healthcare services
  • Follow all internal policies and procedures; be accountable for completion of all operational tasks according to departmental guidelines to ensure appropriate clinical processing/documentation
  • Advise leadership of any issues that may impact role

Qualifications

 

  • Registered Nurse with unencumbered, active license (MSL preferred) and ability to obtain other state RN licenses as needed
  • Experience with electronic health records/data entry, TechCare experience is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with correctional facility processes, protocols, and procedures
  • Adequate knowledge of medical terminology and basic pharmacology, correctional detox experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, highly organized, attention to detail and decision-making skills essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred
