Overview

NaphCare is hiring a Dental Administrator to join our Corporate Office in Birmingham, AL.

 

The Dental Administrator oversees the operational, administrative, and quality-assurance functions of NaphCare’s dental program across prisons and jails nationwide.

 

Responsibilities

The Dental Administrator serves as a central point of contact for dental operations, escalations, and workflow improvements, partnering closely with Clinical Leadership and Site Operations to drive consistent, high-quality, and efficient dental services. Key responsibilities include and may not be limited to:

  • Provides day-to-day support to onsite dentists and dental staff
  • Manages equipment inventories and maintenance
  • Tracks productivity and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage
  • Monitors documentation and compliance with contract requirements
  • Assists with vacancy management, onboarding, and coordination with recruiting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in healthcare operations; dental or correctional healthcare experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to track multiple sites and competing priorities.
  • Experience with EHR systems, scheduling workflows, or productivity reporting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently, maintain follow-through, and escalate issues appropriately.
