NaphCare is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to work weekends on Saturdays and Sundays in Des Moines, IA. Join our team of healthcare professionals providing comprehensive medical care for individuals currently incarcerated at Polk County Jail.
As a Correctional Nurse Practitioner, you will collaborate with correctional officers and other healthcare staff to deliver quality care to inmates. Working in a secure environment where safety is a priority, you will perform assessments, diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions and chronic illnesses, prescribe medications, and respond to emergencies. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to positively impact a diverse patient population with complex healthcare needs.

Physical Capabilities:
Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
