NaphCare is hiring an experienced Charge Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team at the Forsyth County Detention Center in Winston-Salem, NC. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday day-shift position working 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
As a Correctional Charge Registered Nurse (RN), you’ll combine hands-on nursing with clinical leadership, helping coordinate daily nursing operations while supporting and guiding the nursing team. You’ll work alongside medical and correctional professionals to provide quality care to a diverse patient population with a wide range of healthcare needs.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced RN looking to grow in a leadership role while maintaining a consistent weekday schedule with 8-hour day shifts.
The Charge Registered Nurse provides clinical leadership during assigned shifts while remaining actively involved in patient care. This role coordinates shift activities, supports nursing staff, assesses patients, administers medications, responds to emergencies, and helps ensure quality care is delivered in accordance with established policies and procedures. Experience / Requirements / Qualifications
Physical Capabilities:
Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
